Terms of sale

These terms of sale apply to all products sold on Le Comptoir Geologique website. All orders leads to an acceptance of these terms.

Items : 

All the photos of our products on the website are representative of reality (unless otherwise stated), however colors can vary slightly, this could be induced by the settings of your screen, as well, size and weight of the samples are indicative and may vary slightly with the reality, no claim to these subjects can be made. Weighing of precious materials are made with an electronic precision balance and weights are given in carats (1 carat = 0.2 g). Labels (with name and locality) are provided for free if you request them when placing an order by checking the appropriate box (excluding tumbled stones, gemstones and jewelry).

Price and billing : 

Prices are indicated in Euros and are applicable only on the date of the purchase by the customer. They do not include delivery charges, billed as an extra, and indicated before the final checkout. The full payment must be made when ordering, unless specific offer on the website. The invoice is sent by mail after your purchase and will not be attached with the goods. The company Le Comptoir Geologique is subject to the taxation of micro enterprise and should simply state "VAT non applicable, article 293 B of CGI" on its invoices. 

Availability : 

All items for sale are available, however an updating time is necessary for the website after an order. Thus it is sometimes possible for buyers to purchase an unavailable stone. In the case of an unavailability in a order, Le Comptoir Geologique refund the full amount of the unavailable item and shipping fees associated with it. 

Payment : 

The payments are made by bank transfert, by check or by credit card via Paypal within 10 days after checkout. Shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer's expense and are indexed on La Poste delivery rates. 

Informations provided by the buyer :

Delivery :

Delivery is made at the customer's choice by tracked colissimo (or registered letter), by registered colissimo, by chronopost via La Poste or at a collection point via Mondial Relay. Parcels are sent within 2 working days following receipt of payment (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays), 5 working days for Mondial Relay parcels and the same day for Chronoposts (for any order placed before noon local time ). The purchasing customer is solely responsible for the shipping method and therefore the insurance chosen. Shipping costs are automatically calculated based on the weight of samples purchased. The site is programmed for international deliveries, however it is necessary to indicate the country of destination so that the corresponding shipping costs will be billed to you. International deliveries are made by international colissimo delivered against signature, by Mondial Relay (reserved for a limited number of destinations) or by chronopost for sensitive destinations. Since January 1, 2024, small items can no longer be sent by registered letter.

Each sample is carefully packaged in paper, bubble wrap and cotton for the most fragile. Le Comptoir Géologique cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for the loss, destruction or spoliation, partial or total, of the samples sent. 

 So, you MUST CONTROL the condition of the goods with your postal agent prior to their acceptance, refuse the package if there is a problem and mail us (postmaster@le-comptoir-geologique) for a compensation awarded to you (see the "colissimo" terms of sale on La Poste website or in a post office, or other modes of transmission, depending on your choice of shipping method). If there is a problem and you have not controlled your goods we cannot refund you...

Parcel tracking numbers are systematically sent in the email containing the invoice paid at the time of shipping, if you do not receive this email, remember to check your spam folder. The purchasing customer is responsible for collecting their package from the post office or collection point where it is kept for 15 days. After this period the package is automatically returned to us. In the event of a return for an unclaimed package, the shipping costs paid will not be refunded, and you will be asked to pay them a second time for reshipment. If you took advantage of free delivery, you will also be asked to pay the shipping costs for returning the package a second time.

Delivery delay :

The delivery times are given as an indication by the delivery service providers and depending many factors and your location in the World : 5-7 working days for Europe and 12-15 working days for the rest of the World. Customs controls can extend delivery times.

Guarantees : 

All minerals and fossils on the site are selected for their good quality. If this quality did not correspond to the expectations of the customer, pursuant to Article L121-16 of the Consumer Code, the same customer has a withdrawal period of fourteen days from delivery of the order. During this period the customer can return, at its expense, the products do not suit him. However, only the products returned in perfect conditions, in their original packaging and sent back with a tracking can be refund. All returns must be reported prior to the Service of the webstore by email at : postmaster@le-comptoir-geologique.com. This right of withdrawal does not apply to objects having required a service expressly requested by the purchaser (eg: installation of the bails of "pendant" option of certain cabochons, once drilled the jewel cannot be returned nor refunded). In the event of cancellation of an order before shipment, fees may be charged by Paypal on the refund, in particular if the bank account used by the buyer is not based in France.

Respect of identity : 

Personal informations collected for the treatment of sales is required, these informations are essential for processing and dispatching orders and invoices. In accordance with the French law "Informatique et Libertés", the processing of personal data relating to customers of the webstore "Le Comptoir Geologique "has been registered to the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL): N ° 1336611 

The customer have a right of access, rectification and deletion of this data (Article 34 of the Act of 6 January 1978).

The photos on this website belong to Comptoir Geologique, but you are able to use it in a non-profit way (forum, blog, website, social networks, etc...) to the only condition to quote the source with these words : "Copyright ©. Comptoir Geologique - www.le-comptoir-geologique.com". 

Express agreement, any non-payments before the deadline will result in the acceleration of amounts due, the intervention of a litigation and liability, as damages and penalty clause of an allowance equal 15% of the amount owed, plus interest and statutory court costs if any. 


Litigation and responsibility : 

The webstore Le Comptoir Geologique can not be held liable for damages of any kind, bodily or material that could result from misuse of products, including through the practice of lithoterapy or any other kind of use : massage, etc... 

In case of litigation, only the Commercial Court of Clermont-Ferrand (France) will have jurisdiction .
