The term pyroclastite refers to volcanic rocks formed by the agglomeration of lava debris ejected by volcanoes. These rocks, called pyroclastic, can be fine and sometimes layered (tuffs, lapilli) or coarse and highly heterometric (flows of pyroclastic breccias).
