Magnificent variolite pebble. Ancient specimen. Pebble containing numerous whitish, fibroradiate feldspar spherulites, giving rise to the term variolite. Variolites are actually ancient ocean floor basalts (ophiolites) containing numerous spherulites reminiscent of smallpox spots.
