Dodecahedron : definition

A dodecahedron is a polyhedron composed of 12 rhombic faces, of general shape {011} ; each face intercepts two crystallographic axes at equal distances from the origin. This shape belongs to the cubic system. We also speak of rhombododecahedron or rhombic dodecahedron. Garnets commonly appear in this form.
