A tektite is a terrestrial molten rock fragment ejected out of the crater during a meteor impacts, it is formed during collision with large meteorites.
An impactite is a terrestrial rock modified by the high stresses of pressure and temperature during a meteorite impact, it is generally the rocks present in the impact crater.
